Samsung has been very busy lately and it seems that the long-awaited products are finally hitting the US market. While rumor has it the US may not be getting the new Galaxy Tab 7, it won’t be long until Android lovers will be able to pick-up the next next best thing between the original 7-inch Galaxy Tab and the Galaxy Tab 10.1, the Galaxy Tab 8.9.
It is currently available for pre-order, while the shipments are expected to hit retailers on October 2nd for a $469 price tag for the 16GB model and with $100 more for the 32GB model. We’re talking about the thinnest and lightest slates from Samsung, and the price is sure a good one. Oh, and they will come with Android 3.1 Honeycomb and Sammy’s custom TouchWiz UX interface.
The other 2 devices announced today are the Galaxy Player 4.0 and Galaxy Player 5.0. Both will feature a 4-inch or 5-inch touchscreen and will be powered by Android 2.3.5 Gingerbread, 8GB of onboard storage, a microSD expansion slot and are Wi-Fi enabled.
They will be available for pre-order Sept. 27 and will come to retailers Oct. 16 at $229 and $279 respectively.
